Modern Free Motion Quilting



Join Tara to learn the fundamental shapes that will form the foundation of your free motion journey. She will introduce a variety of basic free motion designs while constructing a small storage basket and make all your anxieties around FMQ disappear!

Instructor Bio:
Tara McInerney is a local mom and a Speech-Language Pathologist who hails from New Brunswick. A sewist and budding quilter as of 12 years old, Tara is an active member of the Niagara Modern Quilt Guild and Canadian Quilter's Association (CQA). She has had recognition through Quiltcon and Quilt Canada for collaborations with other fabulous Niagara quilters, and has jointly published an article in Canadian Quilter Magazine with local quilt designer, Lorna Costantini. She loves to design and create quilts and loves the quilting part of any project so much, her husband built an addition to the house so she could buy a longarm and begin offering quilting services to others. Tara also loves quilt photography and zestfully delves into other creative pursuits, including singing and crafting, gardening, and cooking. She also quite enjoys fawning over (or walking) her Golden Doodle, Stash. She has a penchant for doodle quilting and loves freemotion designs above all.
