Fear No Feather



Love feathers but are afraid to try them? You will conquer your feather fears in this class. We’ll start with easy ways to quilt beautiful feathers. Building off a basic spine, you’ll learn how to draw different types of feather plumes, their stitch paths, and how to make them fit into lots of different spaces. We’ll explore putting the perfect feather into a border and even quilting around the corner. Soon you’ll be quilting feathers on all your quilts!

After quilting many large quilts on a domestic sewing machine, Allison purchased a HQ Sweet Sixteen? stationary machine which was well used for many years. She now owns an HQ Avant?? and HQ Amara? and loves the freedom of quilting both smaller and larger projects with ease.

She has a studio and classroom in her Calgary home and does customer quilts as well as longarm machine rentals and offers a variety of sewing and quilting classes. Allison encourages students to go further and see what they can do on their own. Allison will be teaching all classes on October 28th and 29th.
