Longarm: From Curious to Confident

No longarm? No problem. New longarm? You’re in the right place. Let’s get you quilting! Two days. One longarm adventure.
Have you been dreaming about a longarm but don’t know where to start? Maybe you’re comparing brands, wondering which machine is right for you, or simply curious about what it’s like to quilt your own quilts. Or perhaps you’ve recently brought home your first longarm and are wondering, “Now what?”
This hands-on two-day beginner bootcamp is designed to take the mystery out of longarm quilting and help you get comfortable behind the machine. You’ll learn the fundamentals of longarm quilting in a supportive, no-pressure environment, including machine basics, loading a quilt, thread and needle choices, tension, pantographs, free-motion quilting, rulers, and essential troubleshooting. We’ll also talk about the different features and options available on today’s longarm machines so you can better understand what matters if you’re considering a purchase.
Most importantly, you’ll have plenty of opportunity at the machine to stitch! You’ll practice the basics, build muscle memory, experiment with different quilting techniques, and discover what feels comfortable and enjoyable for you. You will even get a good look at what Pro Stitcher can do!
Whether you’re longarm-curious, shopping for your first machine, or a brand-new owner looking for a confidence boost, this bootcamp is your starting point. Come with questions, curiosity, and a willingness to stitch. Leave with a solid foundation, practical skills, and a much clearer vision of your longarm quilting journey.
