Free-Motion Feathers with Jane

Each participant will have their own machine for the entire class, allowing for maximum practice time and personalized guidance. Jane will break down feather quilting into simple, manageable steps — from foundational shapes and spine construction to smooth backtracking and elegant variations. You’ll learn how to develop control, improve stitch consistency, and build the muscle memory needed for flowing, graceful designs.

Throughout the day, you’ll practice a variety of feather styles and layouts while strengthening essential free-motion skills like spacing, traveling, and filling shapes. By the end of class, you’ll head home with a beautiful feather sampler that showcases your progress and new techniques.
